USE OF PRESENT PERFECT

We use the Present Perfect to say that an action happened at an unspecified time before now. The exact time is not important. You CANNOT use the Present Perfect with specific time expressions such as: yesterday, one year ago, etc.  YOU CAN use the Present Perfect with unspecific expressions such as: ever, never, once, since, yet etc.

Structure- Affirmative

Affirmative: Subject + Have / Has + Past Participle  EX: I have studied for the exam. You have bougth a new computer. She has arrived to the party.

Negative-Structure

Negative: Subject + Haven't / Hasn't + Past Participle EX: She hasn’t written an email. You haven’t tried to learn a lot. They haven’t forgotten my birthday.

Interrogative-Structure

Question: Have / Has + Subject + Past Participle EX: Have I been chosen for the team? Has he eaten my sandwich? Have we won a trophy?
