| Cytoplasm | The jelly part of the cell that all chemical reactions take place in |
| Mitochondria | The organelle where respiration takes place. Creates energy for the cell |
| Ribosomes | Creates proteins |
| Chloroplast | Only in a plant cell. Contains chlorophyll which is needed for photosynthesis where energy is created |
| Vacuole | Contains cell sap and keeps the cell turgid |
| Bacteria | A single celled organism which has no nucleus, a cell wall and a flagellum to move |
| Algae | A single celled plant organism |
| Sperm | A specialised cell that is the male gamete. Contains half the genetic information and has a tail to swim towards the egg |

| Nerve Cell | Elongated cell that carries electrical impulses |
| Palisade Mesophyll Cell | Contains chlorophyll to photosynthesise. |
| Red Blood Cell | Cells that carry oxygen. Contains no nucleus so there is more shape |
| Tissues | Collections of similar cells |
| Organs | Collections of different tissues to create a body with a singular function |
| Organ system | A collection of organs that work together to carry out a particular life process |
| Glandular Tissue | A tissue that secretes hormones or juices |
