| What are the 3 types of blood vessels in your body? | Arteries, capillaries and veins |
| What are the arteries? | They are blood vessels that carry blood from the heart |
| Why do arteries have tough walls? | So they can be able to withstand the pressure of when the heart pumps the blood into the arteries under pressure. |
| What are capillaries? | The finest piece of a artery |
| How thick are their walls? | One cell thick |
| Why are they so thin? | So dissolved materials can pass through |
| What do veins do? | They carry blood back to the heart |
| Why are the veins walls not like the arteries? | Because the pressure of the heartbeat is lost as the blood flows through the arrow capillaries |
| How do the bruises form? | They form when the tiny capillaries near your skin burst and blood leaks into the surrounding tissue |

| What does it do? | Gives the red blood cell its colour |
| What are white blood cells? | They a bigger than the red blood cells and are part of the immune system |
| What are platelets? | They are broken bits of cells that allow blood to clot. |
| What is plasma? | Plasma is a clear yellowish liquid that is 90% water and 10% other dissolved materials |
