| Distance | The measurement between two points measured in metres |
| Time | Measured in seconds or multiples of |
| Speed | Measured distance divided by time elapsed. Measured in km per hour |

| Acceleration | Anything where there is a change in speed. Measured in change of velocity over time |

| Force | A push, pull or twist and is measured in Newtons (N) |
| Balanced Forces | No net force. If the object is moving it is moving at a constant speed. If it is not moving it will remain stationary |
| Unbalanced Forces | There is a net force and the object will accelerate or decelerate |
| Newton | The SI unit for forces; named after Sir Isaac Newton |
