| Ecosystem | All the organisms living in a certain area and all the non-living conditions found there. This includes both biotic and abiotic factors. |
| Biotic Conditions | The living features of an ecosystem. Eg. Predators and Presence of food. |

| Habitat | The place where an organism lives in an ecosystem. |
| Niche | The role of a species within it's habitat. Eg. Where and when it feeds. What it eats |
| Adaptation | A feature that a member of species has that gives them a better chance of survival and reproduction |

| Community | Populations of different species in a habitat. |
| Population Size | Total number of organisms of one species in a habitat. |
| Abundance | The number of individuals of one species in a particular area. |
| Distribution | Where a particular species is in the area being investigated. |
