The circulatory system
1. The blood,heart and blood vessels make up the circulatory.
2. It removes waste chemicals like carbon dioxide from the cells to the lungs and other wastes from cells to the kidneys
3. The circulatory system transports useful things like oxygen from the lungs to the cells and digested food from the small intestine to the cells
4. The circulatory system also transports hormones, antibodies and blood proteins
Blood circulation
1. The heart is the pump which circulates the blood through the blood vessels
2. Blood flows in arteries away from the heart to the different organs of the body
3. Blood flows back to the heart in veins
4. The smallest blood vessels that connect arteries to veins are capillaries
5. Cells are very close to capillaries so they receive a good supply of oxygen and food materials from these capillaries, this also enables them to have their carbon dioxide and other wastes removed efficiently
