What “Printer is Busy” Actually Means The “busy” message generally means the printer is occupied or unable to accept new print jobs. That can happen because it’s processing a current job, performing maintenance (fuser warm-up or printhead cleaning), handling a very large file, or stuck trying to print a corrupted job.
