Superior	Above, at a higher level, (in human body toward the head)
Inferior	Below, at a lower level
Medial	Toward the body's longitudinal axis
Lateral	Away from the body's longitudinal axis
Sagittal	Separates the right and left portions
Transverse or Horizontal	Separates superior and inferior portions
Frontal or Coronal	Separates anterior and posterior portions
